Today’s new pattern is a slim fit square necked Fair-Isle jumper (sweater) from 1931
I’m writing this on my phone, as the SSD on my laptop died and it’s being repaired, so please enjoy the brevity!

I have returned to adding new knitting and craft content to the website here at Knitting-and.com.
Today, I have a new pattern for a classic 1940’s lacy jumper, or sweater called the Bracken-Fern Lace Summer Jumper.
I have taken the pattern from 1947, updated it into modern knitting terms, added a chart for the lace stitch and finally figured out how to make sure none of the ads print when you print it out (or to a pdf if you have that capability)..

I have exciting news for anyone who is interested in my patterns and book that I have for sale. I have introduced a new system of pricing for my e-books, which offer a lower price initially, and you can pay whatever you want above that.

My crafting philosophy has always been to use whatever yarn you choose, or repurpose what you have access to. Whether your yarn be luxury hand paint, a nice budget yarn, oddments, or an unraveled jumper from the op shop. (My personal choice is to use other people’s discarded materials from the op-shop or recycle yard). Since my patterns are written to reflect this, I decided my pricing should too.
Check out my Payhip shop for the new much lower minimum prices, or pay whatever you choose to help support Knitting-and.com

As I can no longer sell my knitting patterns on Ravelry due to not being able to view the site, I’ve chosen to make them available on Payhip, so they remain available for anyone that would like to purchase them.
See my Knitting Books and Patterns for Sale page for more information on all the books and patterns I have available!
If you bought any of my patterns on Ravelry, you should still have them available in your library to download any time you want them. However, if you would like to ask any questions about the instructions, you’ll need to contact me here and I’ll be happy to help.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any new knitting patterns, so today I’m sharing ten at once! These are all antique patterns from my collection that I’ve updated into modern knitting terms, charted and test knit for you.

Click on the pattern name or the photo to go to the individual patterns.
I hope you enjoy this selection of lace edgings and insertions. I still have many more in my collection to add in the future.
