Mix and Match Madness!

Three images of parts of a lace edging. On the left, a pointed lace edge with leaves in a squares of garter stitch, in the centre is a lace skull and crossbones, and the right is a simple eyelet edge with two vertical rows of eyelets.

Regular visitors to Knitting-and.com will probably know how much I love knitted lace edgings.

I have been madly knitting away on little pieces of lace over the past few weeks and today I’m releasing a project that’s been on my wishlist for several years. Mix and Match Lace.

I had originally wanted to release it as a book, but with the specialty binding it would have required, that idea became impossible. But now I’m working on my website again, I decided why not make it a reality here.

With over 1,800 possible variations, including my skull and crossbones lace, I think any lace knitter will be able to come up with something they like. At least I hope so!
