Edging for a Baby’s Body

A narrow knitted lace edging with a design of large, single yarn overs.

Abbreviations

k2tog : Knit 2 stitches together.
k : Knit.
p : Purl.
sl : Slip 1 stitch. I like to slip 1 purlways with the yarn at the front (i.e. whichever side is facing me).
yo : Yarn over.
No stitch: Placeholder for changing stitch numbers. Always ignore this square in the chart.

Pattern

Cast on 7 sts
Row 1 (RS): Sl, k2, yo, k2tog, yo twice, k2tog. (8 sts)
Row 2: Yo, k2, p1, k2, yo, k2tog, k1. (9 sts)
Row 3: Sl, k2, yo, k2tog, k4.
Row 4: Bind off 2, k3, yo, k2tog, k1. (7 sts)
