Tiny Plush Flower Embroidery Tutorial

A fuzzy, wool flower that looks like a pompon surrounded by 6 smaller pompoms as petals.

I have a brand new tutorial for you today. A tiny plush flower embroidered using the plush template embroidery technique. Also known as Amish stumpwork, among other things.

This tiny flower is an unusual motif, very quick to stitch, and is great for using up tiny scraps of yarn, and filling in empty spaces in larger designs.

I hope you enjoy it, and if you’d like to see a video showing how to stitch it, let me know in the comments!

A New Plushwork Embroidery Tutorial

Stitching over the template with wool yarn.

I’ve added a new tutorial today, for working plush template embroidery (aka Amish stumpwork, plushwork, German tufted wool embroidery), without any knots.

This tutorial includes a new star shaped template, which will be the first of a large collection of motifs that I will be uploading over time. I hope you enjoy what will be an ongoing series, that will include lots of new information the technique of plush template embroidery as well as many traditional, and unusual template designs.

If you would like me to make a video to go along with this tutorial, let me know in the comments!
