April 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Knitting-and.com, and almost 25 years since I bought the domain name so I thought it was time to do a bit of tidying up.
Among other things, I’ve done the following to tidy up the website:
- Fixed any broken links.
- Removed things that no-one looked at.
- Removed the recipes because they’re all on my other website already.
- Tidied up the flower loom tutorials to make them easier to sort through.
- Removed the menu from the left hand side of the pages (now it’s only on the blog, where it makes sense)
- Fixed the problem that was causing some ads to print when you printed a pattern.
- Added some extra information to the instructions for making a Teneriffe lace pillow, to make them nice and firm.
- Given the previously hand drawn charts for the Skull and Crossbones Lace knitting pattern a glow up with Stitch Mastery software. No affiliation, I’m just really enjoying learning how to use it, and love the quality of the charts it produces.
I hope you find everything much easier to find, and have a lot more fun looking around!
We’ve changed a lot over the years, and I hope we have many more to come.
