This is a 2 ply dk weight yarn made by splitting the rainbow top before spinning. The single was then plied back on itself.

Purple Twist top
Variegated tops make great novelty yarns. This skein is a knot yarn, made by letting the singles run over themselves at spots while plying.

Maize top
I stripped the maize top into (I think) 8 strips, then chain plied the finished single to preserve the colour repeats as much as possible.
Chain plied maize.
Inland waters top.
A thick, soft single.
Fireside top
I stripped the top into fairly thin sections (I think I did 8 or 16 strips), then spun a fairly firm fingering weight single which I fulled before knitting

Common brush top.
I stripped the top into fairly fine strips to preserve the colours, then plied the single upon itself to mix them up a bit.
