Triple wound loomed flowers are a nice addition to informal arrangements and embroideries.
| You can use any flower loom, and almost any technique to make triple wound flowers. Simply wind your loom holding three strands of yarn or straw together at once.
You can stitch the centre with all three strands or just one, it’s up to you. |

This flower was made by winding three layers on the large round of a Studio Twelve Magni-Fleur loom using three strands of ribbon straw in various shades of pink.
The centre was stitched with back stitch, then covered with stem stitch. |

This flower was made using the same technique, but with three strands of vintage tapestry wool. |

This flower was made using the same three strands of straw as the first flower, but winding one round on each of the large, medium and small rounds of pegs. |

Finally, this flower was made using the same technique as the one above, but using three strands of vintage tapestry wool.
Try combining ribbon straw and yarn for interesting texture combinations. A layer of three strands of ribbon straw with two layers of three strands of yarn, for example. |
