Ski Jumper (Sweater) and Leg Warmers for Beanie Babies

Materials:
Scraps of dk yarn in 3 colours. The sample uses white as the main colour,
blue and white ragg as contrast colour 1, and dark blue as contrast colour
2.
Set of 4mm dpns and a set of 3.25mm dpns
Tension:
22sts and 30 rows to 10cm over st st on 4mm needles
Ski Jumper
Body:
Using 3.5mm needles and contrast colour 1, cast on 56sts and work 6
rounds K1, P1 rib.
Change to 4mm needles and work 4 rounds following the chart below using
your main colour and contrast colour 2.
Using main colour knit 4 rounds plain. Set aside while you knit the sleeves.
Sleeves (make 2):
Using 3.25mm needles and contrast colour 1 cast on 16sts and work 4
rounds K1, P1 rib.
Change to main colour and 4mm needles and knit 4 rounds. Cut yarn and
put sts on a holder.
Make another sleeve in the same way but don't cut the yarn.
Joining the Sleeves and Body and Knitting the Yoke:
I find the best st holders to use on a piece this small are doubled
lengths of yarn in a contrasting colour. They're totally flexible and they
don't get in the way or pull your work out of shape.
Begin with the second sleeve (the one you didn't cut the yarn on) and
work as follows:
K3 and place these 3sts just knit onto a st holder, K10, then place
the remaining 3 sleeve sts on a holder.
Place 1st 3sts of the body on a st holder, K22, place next 6sts of body
on a holder.
Pick up the next sleeve and put 3 sts on a holder, K10, then place
last 3sts on a holder.
K22 sts across the back of the body and finally place the last 3sts
of the body on a holder.
Place a marker to mark the end of the round.
1st round: Knit
2nd round: (K10, SSK, K18, K2tog) twice
3rd round: Knit
4th round: (K10, SSK, K16, K2tog) twice
5th round: Knit
6th round: (K10, SSK, K14, K2tog) twice
7th round: Knit
Change to 3.25mm needles and contrast colour 1 and work 3 rounds K1, P1 rib. Cast off.
Making Up:
Sew in all loose ends and graft
sts at underarm.
Leg Warmers (make 2)
Using 4mm needles and main colour cast on 18sts and work 8 rounds K1,
P1 rib. Cast off and sew in loose ends.
