Garter stitch entrelac scarf

Entrelac sections measure 15.5cm wide (excluding crochet border) by 57cm

Centre rib section measures 8cm wide when relaxed, by 35cm long.

Total length = approximately 149cm

Yarn:
300m of black 8 ply wool and 200m of variegated 8ply wool.

Rainbow handpainted wool

Needles:
1 pair 4mm and 3.25mm needles.
1 x 3.5mm crochet hook for optional crochet border.

22sts to 10cm over st st knit on 4mm needles

Pick up 36sts along the cast off edge of the 2nd entrelac piece and with the right sides of your pieces facing each other, join the pieces using a 3 needle bind off in k3, p3 rib.

Finishing

Darn in all loose ends. And work a border of double crochet (US single crochet) using black wool if you desire.
