Note: This pattern uses old UK needle sizes
Materials:
Coats Mercer-Crochet No. 10 (20 gm): 5 balls.
1 pair Knitting Needles No. 13.
Tension: 10 sts = 1 in.
Measurements: 10 in X 36 in.
Pattern:
Cast on 99 sts.
1st Row: k1, * p 1, k1; repeat from * to end of row
Repeat this row until fabric measures 1 in. in depth. Now work in pattern.
1st Row: Work 8 sts in moss stitch as before, k1, yo, k2tog, k5, * yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k5; repeat from * to last 11 sts, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k1, work 8 sts in moss stitch.
2nd and alternate Rows: Work 8 sts in moss stitch, p to the last 8 sts, work 8 sts in moss stitch.
3rd Row: Work 8 sts in moss stitch, k1, * k1, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k3,
k2tog, yo; repeat from
*
to last 10
sts, k2, work in moss stitch to end.
5th Row: Work 8 sts in moss stitch,
k1, * k2, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k1,
k2tog, yo, k1; repeat from * to
last 10 sts, k 2, work in moss stitch
to end.
7th Row: Work 8 sts in moss stitch,
k1, * k3, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso,
yo, k2; repeat from * to last 10 sts,
k2, work in moss stitch to end.
8th Row: As 2nd row.
These 8 rows complete pattern. Work in pattern until runner measures 35 in. Now work1 in. all in moss stitch. Cast off. Damp and pin out to measurements.
