Look up this pattern on
Happy Sun
Materials:
Approximately 20gms bright blue dk weight yarn.
Scrap of yellow and black
1pr 4mm knitting needles

Tension:
Approximately 22sts to 10cm over st st worked on 4mm needles.

Abbreviations:
W&T = wrap and turn. Bring your yarn to the front of the work, slip the next stitch (unknit) to the RH needle, take your yarn to the back of the work and slip the stitch back to the left hand needle (do not knit it). The next time the pattern says to knit the wrapped stitch, knit the wrapped yarn together with the stitch.

Pattern:
Background

Using blue cast on 33sts and knit 6 rows.

Next row: Knit
Next row: Knit 5, P23, K5

Repeat last 2 rows another 12 times

Knit 6 rows. Cast off

Sun:
Using yellow, cast on 5 sts

*1st row: K1, YO, K3, W&T
2nd row: K to end.

Repeat first 2 rows until you have a total of  9sts

Cast off 4sts, K to end (5sts)

Knit 1 row.

Repeat from * another 7 times. Cast off.

Sew the cast off edge to the cast on edge and gather up the centre hole.

Sew sun to background. Using yellow embroider sparkles using lazy daisy stitch. Embroider face using black.
